Ways to Give
We hope that you will consider supporting Jesus College, whether through making a regular contribution to the Development Fund, supporting a particular College priority project or by joining the 1571 Legacy Society and pledging your future support. Jesus College is a U.K. higher education charity (no. 1137435) that depends on the generosity of philanthropic donations.
Gifts of all sizes help us subsidise critical investment in our people, place, and progress, and allow us to create incredible new opportunities for our community. By making a gift today, you help protect our College for current and future generations.

If you can do so, we would be grateful if you Gift Aided your donation to increase its impact. Please note that we will share relevant and necessary data with HM Revenue and Customs to enable us to reclaim the Gift Aid on your donation. Donations from companies are not eligible for Gift Aid. However, the company can treat the gift as an allowable expense, making a saving on corporation tax. For more information, visit the HMRC website.
Matched Giving
Some organisations will match employee charity giving to double their impact. We encourage you to contact your employer to find out if you are eligible for matched giving.
Gifts of Shares
Please contact the Estates Bursar, Cait Winter, if you would like to make a gift to College of assets or shares.
Payroll Giving
UK taxpayers who are paid under PAYE (Pay As You Earn) can maximise regular donations to Jesus College through payroll giving. To give on PAYE please visit the Payroll Giving in Action website.
Charities Aid Foundation (CAF)
The CAF Charity Account works like a bank account designed specifically for charitable giving. Since CAF is a charity, you can claim back the tax on Gift Aid donations and add it to the amount in your account. More information can be found on the CAF website.
Giving from Overseas
Please contact us to discuss tax-efficient giving from the United States, Canada, Europe, China, or Hong Kong.
Legacy Giving and the 1571 Society
For over four-and-a-half centuries Jesus College has been sustained by the historic legacies that have built its endowment, and by the generosity of philanthropic donations that have enabled it to thrive since Elizabethan times. All legators who have declared their intention to leave a gift to College in their will are included as members of the 1571 Society and are recognised in our donor publications and invited to attend special events.
Gifts to charity are exempt from Inheritance Tax (IHT) in the UK, and the government provides a further incentive when you leave 10% or more of your net estate to charity.
By including Jesus College in your will, you can make a gift with a lasting impact. Find out more about the 1571 Society.
